Bajan Seasoning

These are the ingredients I use to season fish.  Sometimes I add dill or other herbs and finish it off with olive oil and a squeeze of lime.  Every Bajan has their own recipe for their seasoning.  I bought the mortar and pestle in St. Lucia at the Castries market and love it's rich colour and design.  I made the cutting board from a purple heart wood and I love the look after it's been freshly oiled with mineral oil.  It was fun to set up this still life and put it to canvas!
